What to Expect
Northland Alliance Church in Remer, MN is a committed congregation serving a big God in a small town. We value the unadulterated preaching, teaching, and living of God's Word. Our Sunday Worship time includes Fellowship, songs of praise, giving our offerings, prayer, Reading and Preaching of God's Word, and Communion (once a month). There is a nursery available for children 4 and under with all volunteers having ministry-safe training. Throughout the Week we have Sunday School (11 a.m. Sundays), and several Bible studies including Women's and Youth. We also try to be active in the community both as individuals and as a Church.
Our History
Northland Alliance Church (NAC) began with a Bible study led by John Koch, a graduate of St. Paul Bible School, along with his wife,
Hilma. Hilma’s brother Gus donated the land on the corner of Mill Street and Atlas Avenue for the church in 1920. Hilma’s other brothers, Herman and Fred, built and donated a shed to
serve as the first church building. Several direct descendants of this family are still active parts of the NAC family.
One hundred and two years and several building projects later, NAC now sits on 2 3rd Ave SE, Remer, MN 56672
which is the main street through Remer, directly across from the Northland Public School.
